Swipe Down for Notifications

Your correct , but if want keep the stock launcher this is way to go.

You use the app Swiftly Switch if you want to keep stock launcher. It would be a swipe down from the right edge of screen, which is easy for my thumb. Or you can set both edges.

Even better, you can customize swipes from the edge depending on which direction you swipe.

For instance, I swipe straight down to pull notifications down, swipe out 7-8 o'clock position for home screen, swipe left to 9 o'clock for back button, swipe 10-11 o'clock for last app switch, or swipe up to 12 o'clock to pull up my favorite apps/tools box. It's lightening fast and makes holding my XL phone so much easier. Its probably my favorite app.

Didn't know about that app but I like to stay more stock without adding more apps if possible ,that's why the pixel 4 launcher is good for people like this
