I've been asked to introduce myself. I'm relatively new to android, having bought a Galaxy tab a month ago. Luckily it's a version of Linux. i am not an expert in that either, but it cleared the waters for me.
I'm a software engineer since 1987, online developer since 1994, but almost exclusively for the windows platform.
Since my needs are very specific and developer / system oriented, I quickly found out i had to "root" my tablet in order to do the fancy stuff. From then on it was and still is a struggle to do the most common (for me, on windows) things. Sort of like learning to walk again after an accident.
I hope, since a lot of the answers I have been looking for are found on this forum, that I will learn and, eventually, share my knowledge.
