So I am looking at the ATT unlimited plans (because I have all other ATT Stuff but cell) I have the s6 on Verizon and it says I can get a new sim and it will change over. What I am curious about is, does the sim cause the phone to download att gui? How would that work for updates? Anyone encountered this?

I did that with my Galaxy S5. Updates were unavailable. It does download the basic ATT apps needed when you put the Sim in, but all the Verizon stuff is still there and doesn't work. You also can't use your Hotspot, it doesn't work at all.

Your Galaxy S6 is a verizon branded unit. So it will always carry verizon software. You will not have any of the ATT software on your device.

It will always be a verizon phone. Any updates will / should push out when Verizon approves and pushes out the updates.

My sister is now on AT&T and I am on Verizon... can she take my old S6 edge and use it there? And how will she get the updates when they come thru? Is there a way I can send her them from my S7?
