Can anyone explan this:

Every morning I turn on my Droid around 8 a.m. I try to send out a couple emails (corp sync type) and they all get stuck in the outbox and will not send. They seem to just stay there until I reboot it. However, I can turn the unit off and them back on and it will send them out of the outbox. After I do this off/on thing, all works good afterwards. It's like it wants a jump start in the morning. This all usually occurs before 9 a.m. It will not work if I manually sync either.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing that maybe has this thing on standby until 9 or 10 a.m. If so, where can I find it?

Any other suggestions.

Additional note: I downloaded Moxier Mail to this problem and it does not do this when Moxier Mail is installed on the phone. This only occurs with the stock corp. sync stuff.

thanks, jed

Check your device Settings \ Battery & Data Manager settings. There are several options within the sub-items that may be controlling when your Droid will start syncing each day. Either that, or if this is specifically with your corporate setup, check with your employer's IT department, there may be a connectivity or server issue.

Thanks....did all this with Verizon tech support. For some reason it just takes 30 minutes to an hour to get going good. I can turn on at 6 and it will be fine around 7. Turn on a 8 and okay around 9. And some days no problem at all. I guess just Droid email issues. Seems to affect only outgoing messages the most. I can manually sync in the mornings and get the incoming. It does nothing to the outbox when I manually sync.

I will just live it I guess.
