I did a search on the forum for this, but it wasn't much help. My contacts don't sync between my phone and Google. I tried deleting the Contact Storage cache and deleting the data, but it didn't help. If I edit a contact on the phone, it doesn't show up in Google and the old info in Google overwrites the info on the phone. I tried deleting the Gmail account, but it won't let me. One thing is that my Google account is a Google Apps account. Could that have something to do with it?

Can you log onto your Google account and delete all the contacts there...then on the next sync the phone contacts will be uploaded. This should remove the old wrong data and then use the new data on the phone.

Have you tried this....?

did you save your contats to "phone" or "google"? there is an option. if you select "phone", the contact won't sync with google.

i have a problem like this too, I sync the phone contacts a year ago but now i tryed to sync the phone contact to google but when i delete the phone contacts i could see some of my recent calls dont have names anymore. any clue why?

I saw that I had 23.4mb of crap on my contacts storage, but in all reality only have like 32 contacts total. I tried to go through my gmail and erase all the email contacts I made during a recent job search etc...it was syncing with my phone.

If I erase my contact information on my phone and try to resync it, will it help. I have a rooted evo...only like 99mb left on the phone...but i have a 32 gb card in it....just trying to free up some space...I guess...good topic.

MyPhoneExplorer is a good free application to sync and manage contacts, call history, sms history, etc.... FJ Software Development You download small app to computer and a small client to your phone. I have no affiliation with them...just use software. If you know of something better, let me know...

You can see everything on your computer screen to make changes.
