system u restart your phone an sd card was removed unsafetly

i have never seen this on my phone before since system 13 ui it saids preview your phone from restarting unexpectedly saved unsaed data and restart now if i restart will phone have sd card i'm scare what should i do

have anybody had this issue on system u1 13 yet guess i'm going to have to go to verizon asap this is unreal

If an SD card is removed improperly (i.e., without Unmounting it first), that can potentially cause some data corruption if the phone was in the middle of writing some data to it. Since SD cards are inherently less reliable than onboard memory, a card glitch can also result in what is perceived as improper removal. This is why it's always a bit risky to rely on SD cards for important data storage.

I would restart the phone and see if the phone recognizes the card properly.

Glad to hear it's working normally. But use this as a reminder that SD cards can fail, so keep your important data backed up or synced somewhere on a regular basis.

i was very nervous but hey at least when i power down my phone power back up it work i wonder why that happened?

now i did had to go back and put ringtone back in phone everything is in tact also i notice a few apps went into sleeping deep and never sleep when i look at apps some was saying auto disable or something like that but i removed them now they are good again

As I suggested above (and as your link also mentioned), this can be due to a glitchy or corrupt card, or possibly a glitch in the card reader itself.

it just happened again i'm going to have to verizon today from their thread they saying wipe system cache so i did that

hopefully message will never come back up i do hear that verizon alert when i did that<-when i restarted phone sound never came up

i did almost panic when i accidently went into downloading do not turn off target mode but was able to get out of that

Since it happened more than once, I would either reformat that SD card or try a different one, since the card might be corrupt or failing.

but like i said do wipe cache awhile ago not sure will fixed message saying it or not been using same sd card from s7

if this does it again i guess i have no choice but to put everything on this card to new sd card but lets see what happens

again 1st time happened today never happened before not sure if something matter one u1 3.1 or what i never removed sd card before an update and i upgraded phone back on 2nd

just to let you know this happened on somebody else phone today on except they were at and t who had sd card s7 put in s20 so something isn't right

now i have asked if anybody having issues with this happened on their phone sd card s20 plus phone today nobody responded back

this isn't me the person who reply to me and i quote

my S20 did the same thing and I am AT&T. I had the S7 and put it in my S20 phone. I tried to open my SD card photos and there were none, only the pictures on the phone showed. I transferred everything to a new SD card and it did the same thing again. A restart found the SD card but who wants this happening when you are at a wedding and when you try to take pictures you get an error that the SD card is unmounted. I was so furious.
Samsung needs to get to work on their current phones and quit trying to sell newer models. It's sad that Samsung is slipping so badly.

but like i said after i did a wipe cache<-1st time i ever did on phone i have not ran into this issue i try to called verizon tech support they didn't understand

now let me point out that i did had to go back besides i heard ringtone after wipe cache reboot phone ringtone messenger and email's went to default i had to set it back

when i open up my instagram the gallery was all mess up i kindof deleted instagram folder from phone and had to go back reorganixe old photos s7 to s20 then put new ones to show up instagram that was a pain

yes something is fishey s20 plus phones today and i wonder what is wrong ya know about s7 phone storage problems and instead going to dark side get iphone i got s20 plus phone since had sd card inside and s21 don't have sd card

I bought sd cards for my first couple phones but never really used them. Then I started using pixel phones which don't use sd cards and never looked back My 2015 Moto X Pure Edition still has the original sd card in it and the card works great... all 16 gigs of it lol.

Samsung's SD card trays have had problems over the years, but it seemed to finally be corrected, for the most part, since perhaps the S9 series and up.

I had loads of issues with the S7+ edge and the S3. No explanation and you can get your data wiped from the card trying to get it to accept the card. It may help if you use your ejection tool to remove the tray, remove and replace the SD card and reinsert tray.

As others have said, back up your data before it gets lost.

maybe folks can read this tell me what is problem just to keep you up to date i did try to open tray using key s7 and i must had done it little fast slim card fell out little hard put it i got both in a zip loc bag i already got my phone charged too scare to tell me dad put it back in because he tole me not mess anything

at least i didn't unlock tray on s20 my files if you click on s20 saying sd card insert when works it will show everything again i don't know needs cleaning on what

now if i have to used phone this tues when cell phone store opens for tech not verizon they have to put slim card back s7 and again hope sd card works still on that phone that already inside s20

i did charge up my s7 phone maybe i need to bring my s7 usb if sd card does work instead taking phone on back of charge 30 bucks if got computer over there be great if he can like copy stuff sd card over to new sd card i guess get free verizon and throw currently sd card away instead that mess if it does die and guy can't get it working i'm going to blame that guy walmart when 1st week of april went to about issue who just blew me off and say glitch and i walked away i did restart my phone alot this week

Ok when u had in the sd card in the s7 did you format it to internal storage or move app data to it?

I don't know I think sd card was from another phone Droid 4?, now keep in mind that I do go Verizon despite lecture phones don't use sd card anymore did try take out put In say try s7 phone thr. I went other cell phone place that has a tech same thing told me if left s20 couldn't fixed closing
I don't know why not open tomorrow rather than Tues
I kindof wonder if never restarted left phone showing both system ui mezsage 1 read and other ad card safety removed if fixed but doubt since no tech over there
I did read 2010 post samsung community someone posted search system ui clear memory forced stop restart but person wrote can't write mine Saif couldn't read I believe galaxy note phone

I try search in app couldn't find all I saw was one ui home I guess that is system ui?
I wonder if I did it in notifications when came up before restart sd it will read again but not sure since not in notifications anymore

You might need a new sd card they do get corrupt , if computer cant read it or any of the phones you have then most likely, if only your s7 reads it then its encrypted to that device and reformat to use for another device is the way to go but it will erase all data when u do that .

Why can I just copy it desktop computer and paste it inside new sd card and just throw away old card?
I assuming verizon won't give you new sd card have to buy it eh unlike slim card?
I guess if new sd card nothing is on it when connected usb phone to computer

so you saying if it still reads s7 and i connect it usb s7 instead usb s20 cord to computer it won't display on computer

what does it erase everything on sd card if i do that or everything on old s7 phone not a fan of that btw if that what it does
