system ui has stopped what should I do?

After updated my htc one m9 today, i stuck on white screen with message: system ui has stopped. the phone does`nt respond to anything. What should I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for about 15-20 seconds. Then try booting up again.

I have the same problem and I've rebooted my phone a handful of times, but every single time same message appears sayin unfortunately system UI has stopped working and after selecting ok the screen goes blank and it would just turn off and on the backlight with a blank screen. Can anyone please help?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? Try booting into Safe Mode.

I get the same problem.
Not rooted not unlocked phone S-ON, download mode is locked
Not even i put it in USB debugging mode
I have HTC M9, Its so miserable

Safe mode does not help either ....

I just close it out in running apps. Boot into recovery mode and remove updates, skip this update till they get unbuggered.
