T-Mobile 5.1.1 update horrible

I will definitely not be doing this update unless I absolutely have to. It keeps telling me I cant do the update unless I connect to wifi anyways and im never on it.

The immediate problem for me is that connecting to WiFi with WPA enterprise (certs) is apparently broken in 5.1.1 - our building at work has steel supports and so cell signal is always unacceptable. The IT department allows us to connect phones to wireless, but the phone MUST support WPA enterprise, so no more phone connectivity at work.

Other symptoms include difficulty getting the onscreen keyboard to come up while trying to text. Texting is problematic with the phone freezing for 10-15 seconds at a time when scrolling through messages or when typing (in the middle of the text phone becomes unresponsive, no haptic feedback, etc). These issues were not present this morning, but are markedly apparent after the upgrade.

Application Cache wipe and cache partition wipe have had no effect on the problems at all. Going to try factory reset after I back up the internal storage on the phone.
