T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Because of the typo?

Yes. It was a typo in my name in the payment section. I've seen how these have played out before. You won't get notified until they try to bill before shipping. Then, you get an email saying your charge didn't go through and the order has to be cancelled and re-entered. I figured I would bite the bullet now and just enter a new one since they couldn't fix it. That's right...they couldn't correct one letter in my order.
Not only that, I went to the store to do this. They were locked out. Texted the person I was chatting with on T-Mobile and had them cancel it.
The store T-Mobile person enters the order and then it's immediately cancelled...by the same guy who I asked to cancel the original pre-order.
Then, every time they went to confirm the order the next 3 times, it errored out and wouldn't let them complete it.
They called customer service and they couldn't even get one to go through.
So, as it stands right now, I have no phones on pre-order. I am so irritated tonight.
 
Dang that sucks. Why? If you don't mind me asking. I would be wondering same thing if I have to reorder.

I only looked at it and noticed the typo when I saw these posts earlier about people getting packing texts. Otherwise, I probably never would have even caught it. Probably would have figured it out around 9/12 or so.

So you never got the text from earlier today?
 
Before you guys get too excited as a S8 owner, I remember getting a text that it was being shipped out a week before it's supposed to be released. I remember everyone getting all excited when T-mobile sent out those text messages.

There were alot of hype going on until most realize their phones just sat at the UPS center for almost a week before it actually got shipped out. Most of use didn't get our phones until one day before the official release date.

I wouldn't hold breath over this text that the phone is being shipped soon. I just hope none of you guys/gals got your hopes up for nothing.

That's harsh!! I know the first night of preorder on my 2nd try, the first guy didnt know how to preorder it, 2nd lady preordered it but set it up as a new line, that is when I had to call back when I noticed what she had done and they were able to cancel that order and reorder it correctly. I just can't see why they are giving you such a hard time. I think they should get back to original preorder, you just need to keep being persistent....I mean be really tough. I would call back and ask for a manager in the loyalty dept. That really isn't fair.

Tmobile did the same thing with the Note 7 and everyone got pumped up LOL. I remember pre-ordering the Note 7.

Agreed. Got that text with the Note 7...but everyone's phone just sat in Kentucky for a week. Everyone went back and forth... But everyone got theirs a day or 2 early. There was 1 guy who got lucky... And his was sent a week early... But it was a rare event. I think most will get them on the 13th.
 
$6.99 Ground UPS via way of Albuquerque - will receive the phone 2 weeks AFTER they arrive in the stores.

Does anyone know if you use a credit card with someone else name on it like son or daughter to pay the 26 shipping charge could that be a problem down the road when time to ship?

I don't think it will be a problem. I provided my card and they just asked what the name was on the card. It should be fine - they just want it paid for, as long as the shipping address is complete and accurate you should be good

It's daughters card and her Bill address for her card is our home address and that's the same as device shipping address. And shipping address for device is perfect on the pre order. Order status says partially pre order again. Ha

You're good. You got the email and text right. I did and mine is "back to partial preorder.

I have gotten the whole nine yards and even yesterday text about packing and shipping. I got that text at 8 am central time.
