T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

My friend told me he ordered the 512GB version and was told that Samsung doesn't have them in stock because they misjudged how much demand the 512GB version would receive so they didn't focus much on producing that much of them. Bad judgment on Samsung's part.

Yeah and their customers such as myself get screwed over and potentially loose out on the free pre-order gifts if they we don't get the devices in hand by September 13th.

Welp, it's been real ladies and gentlemen but my baby has arrived.

See most of ya in the "take pics with your note 9"

OK guys I took one for the team and got the AKG headphones. Sadly they were not yet out. :)

Go and get those gifts!

I have heard of a way to get out of JOD. Do a JOD for a cheap phone and either pay it off to end JOD or return it the next day to end JOD, which obviously only works if you have a spare phone you can use. Haven't tried it yet but I am considering that option.
I read that too. Not sure I want to go down that road yet. We'll see what happens after the 3 year mark.

Supposedly the two requirements was three plus years of service Plus Class of credit when you join T-Mobile which I agree you have to look out for the people who been with the company for a while should get somewhat of a benefit
I'm not sure those are the only 2 requirements. They really beat around the bush when you ask them. They hint at it and from what you read on these boards tell you that. However, some people on here say they've had service 5+ years, making all their payments on time with great credit not getting the lower down payment option.

Since I was 1 month shy of the 3 years they gave me $150 credit on my bill I thought that was very nice, ordered last Sunday phone in hand yesterday morning. Sure down payment on JOD sucks but at least Samsung is throwing in some great headphones. $300 for the iPhone X that one hurt especially for that phone.
I was only 2 weeks shy and they wouldn't do anything for me.

Got mine yesterday.

I was expecting delivery late in the day, UPS usually hits my neighborhood last.

Just as I was running errors halfway across town, I check for updated and have the
notification that my package was delivery at 1:19 pm.

So I had to rush home to grab the box, and spend a few agonizing hours completing
other errands before I could crack open the box. Then spent the rest of the night
transferring over from my old phone and secure folder.

I agree, I don't miss those days at all. I just wish T-Mobile would figure out what they are going to do with JOD and go with it. Seems to change every few months. They should probably go back to no down payment or much lower down payment then the $279 and get rid of the upgrade 12 times a year nonsense. 3 times would probably be plenty for the majority of people.
It's simple...make one JUMP program...allow 3 upgrades per year with zero or variable down (customer option). Only allow the upgrade after you pay off 50%. That way, if you don't plan on upgrading for 12 months, you never have a down payment. If you upgrade after 6 months, you pay off the difference and that will be your "penalty" in a way.
So, zero down on Note9 after 6 payments is around $250 down to upgrade to your next phone.
Don't penalize the people who don't upgrade a lot. To the others, T-mobile still gets their money.

Knowing my luck they'll realize how bad they're messing things up and change it right after I get out of it and buy from Samsung.

Yeah, this would be perfect. 12 upgrades a year is stupid. Most phones aren't worth the effort anyway. I would probably upgrade twice a year, maybe 3 if something other than a Samsung caught my eye.

Why not just make once per quarter? That's 4 times a year. Every 3 months.

Just got a SMS from tmobile delivery delayed. I called and the rep told me it is a momentary delay. I did get the 512 blue.

Which glass protector did u get

Oh just the one that was with the discount code I think it was a dollar something. So I’m sure it will be one with the adhesive on the sides. Going to look for another one I guess. So I don’t seem to be a fan of the glass screen protector’s but I need something. Well really I don’t ever drop my phone..l but you never know LOL. I was considering an all in one case like one my husband has for his S9 plus. His screen protector is scratched already but he’s moving it in and out of his pocket a lot.

Yeah I should have mentioned that have a glass protector on, the caseology from the deal last week.. it's working better now once I moved up to Sensibility

Was that the screen protector that was a dollar something caseology? I ordered one it wouldn’t allow me to order a second one. So hopefully the first one goes on OK. Lol
