Got the OTA this morning. Everything was smooth today. Battery seems very strong. Need a few more days to really compare.

Only issue that I see is that touchless control for music is completely broken (I keep getting the instant mix error). I have to use PlayerPro for it to work.

My battery seems very strong on 4.4.2 and my phone is a new replacement so it's only a few days old. I suspect I will see even better life after battery gets"broken in"

Do I need to unlock the bootloader to make this work? I am in the process of buying a Moto X from AT&T and was hoping to put 4.2.2 on it. From what I am reading AT&T hasnt updated to 4.2.2 yet.

If it's an at&t phone, you're gonna have to wait until they push out their own 4.4.2 update. The T-Mobile one is a different model. Once they do (which should he very soon), you can wait until you get the OTA, or just install manually. No unlocking of bootloaders or rooting required for that.
