Re: T-Mobile/GSM Unlocked: Android KitKat 4.4.2 Release Notes

Try going to Settings, Apps, All, Google Services Framework, Clear Data, Force Stop. Then Settings, About Phone, System Updates. In the past, that has worked on Nexi to force an update. Don't know if it works on the Moto X.
I've been doing it a lot on my Verizon Moto X since I heard someone got the 4.4.2 update on Verizon early. Doesn't do anything I can tell. What are the bad things it is supposed to do? I was doing it about 10 times an hour when I first heard about the update. Now I do it 2 or 3 times a day. This has been said to be bad advice. I've done it and it worked on a gnex but also tried it on my N4 and kept getting play store errors and all kinds of nonsense. Just be aware it may do nothing or may cause a big headache. I believe it was a Google engineer that said don't do it.
interesting. I haven't had any problems.Like I said play store errors and I think it resets your synch with google servers and can screw up messaging and such. Yea, I did it a few times on each device and got bit once.

OK I edited my post to take that info out.
Well, turns out I'm more impatient than I thought. I followed the instructions below and voila! 4.4.2.
