T-Mobile LG G2 - Doesn't download picture messages..

Hi Tomas, Sorry to hear you are having difficulties with messaging. We would like to request some additional details for the issue you are describing. What carrier and model are you receiving the MMS from? What content are you receiving via MMS (multiple pictures, one picture, mix of content types, etc.)? We would also ask if you can provide your software version. Steps to check version linked here: LG Help: Product Support and Troubleshooting | LG USA ^SM

There is a widespread problem on every carrier with the KitKat update on G2, no one can send mms and have to use an app like FB or KIK to send pics. Hours on the phone with Verizon and LG conferenced said no fix planned!!!! WTF!!!

Hi

I cannot download any multimedia SMS messages either. I assume they are pictures.

I have never been able to download these messages and have been with three different carriers - Vodaphone, Optus, Virgin.

LG-D802
16GB
Android 4.4.2
Kernel 3.4.0
Build KOT49I.D80220b
Software D80220b-TWN-XX

Please help

Pete

I notice LG dropped out of this thread. That doesn't make mW hopeful. My husband just got the G2. We both love it but one problem, every time I text him a picture it is just a pictured of a gray broken photo. He even sent from his old and same thing. Is there a way to fix this?

Install chompSMS...it has a specific setting for t-mobile mms messaging, and I have no problems sending or receiving text pics.

hi im having problems too with my G2 after the update. I can't send or receive mms and I can't connect to the internet using my mobile data. please help. thank you.

Go to Settings, and in the "Wireless Networks" section (or tab), make sure "Mobile Data" is turned on; then scroll a little further down and click on "Tethering & Networks" click on "Mobile Networks", make sure the "Data enabled" box is checked AND click "Network Mode" and make sure the "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto" option is selected. I think that might fix it...let us know. (btw I'm obviously assuming that "Airplane mode" is not turned on).
(Oh...and use chompSMS if you like...it's better than the default app, and has specific fixes for T-Mobile issues).

I found this worked for me. I searched on another site.
My sister fixed it. In settings > wireless & networks > mobile networks. make sure Data enabled is checked off.

Know you're getting old when your 17 year old sister knows your phone better than you do.
