T-Mobile LG G3 New Lollipop Build

Completed upgrade from D85120b --> D85120e
Both upgrades were done using the LG Mobile Support Tool.
Allowed the G3 to complete optimization of the 176 apps if found, and restart/boot.

I did not have any issues/troubles with b, perhaps a click or two while listening to mp3's via Bluetooth, so it will be a day before I can see how 'e' version does.

edit to add: still at android 5.01, it is just a build 'e' now.

What version of Android does this put you on? I am still on 5.0 (unlocked d855)

Still 5.0.1

This seems to be similar to the small update all the other G3 variants got after the initial update.

My guess is when the OTA hits it will be small, like under 50mb.

Huh, I'm expecting a new G3 on KitKat from T-Mobile Thurs because I couldn't put up with the existing update any longer, and this was tech support's solution.

So we'll see how this new build goes in the wild. Then I presume I'll have to install both sequentially if I want to risk it.

Thanks demon09. I actually found that rebooting my PC after installing the support tool did the trick. I'm on D85120E and hoping that the Wifi and Wifi calling issues are resolved. So far, so good. I hope they post the change log soon as I would like to know all the fixes with this update.

It makes me think of "The IT Crowd" - "Have you tried turning it off and back on again?" :)

I flashed it this morning with the pc suite tool. No issues. Took 15 mins tops. It's a lot better than the 20b build from april. Random battery drain are non existent. T-Mobile and lg nailed it with this update. Great job.

Im still running 20b without issue, but i did shut off VoLTE because i was seeing issues with it. My phone hasnt updated to 20e, but my daughters phone is getting ota now.

I updated to new bulid thru pc - seems like it has fixed the issues with my connection for data (use to drop randomally - now it seems to stay on 4glte - service is ok in my area) wifi calling is back. I still have the same annoying issue with google voice search popping up when I play music with the aux cable in my car. The battery life seems to be ok (ran better on kitkat)

Okay, so I will have to update my phone to 5.0 using the LG support tool and the update ota as well? I've only had my G3 for about a month and it is still on 4.4.

In T-mobile's continuing effort to keep their heads out of their backsides...... The link to pul down the update results in a 404 Error

My guess is the same tools that did the original update did the link....

Does anyone have this file or know where to get it?

Here, at the LG site, aim for using the LG Mobile Support Tool.

LG Help: Product Support and Troubleshooting | LG USA

Did that, but when I click the link to get the actual update file. . I get a 404 Error. Page doesn't exist

For the update this morning and while it's only been half a day, so far so good. Not happy my phone had barely been usable half the time for over 2 months so no praise hate for either Tmo or LG. Still don't get why they know there were some serious issues for so many but couldn't just give us the choice to revert back to KitKat.

Amen to that. . On kit kat this was the best android phone I have had.

Now... My palm pre ran circles around this pos.

Will the LGD801 drivers work with my LGD851?

I remember seeing that the lg tool did not work with the white version

The 851 drivers wont download
