T-Mobile Pre-Order Question and Comment Thread

If indeed Tmobile is releasing it early, what about people who ordered from Verizon, Samsung.com, ATT and such? Do we have to wait until the end of next week? I thought Sprint says shipped 4/17 and ordering from samsung gets it before everyone else they said.

I think when Samsung.com says get before anyone else it means get before people who are getting from stores after actual release. Just my opinion on what to make of it.

i'm afraid that "before" merely means, literally, before.

that means 1 day before is still obviously technically correct as "before".

so...they weren't being too helpful by saying "before", as there is an extremely wide latitude in the definition of what "before" means to different folks.

darn it: why were the LG folks so fortunate a few weeks ago and got their LG flagship phones a full 2 weeks earlier than the announced date?!?

2 full weeks early!! i know that for a fact because my friend had the phone in his hands 2 weeks prior to the announced date!

Well cards have not been charged yet and I doubt on Easter Sunday there will be any activity at their warehouse. My guess is next Wed or Thur everyone gets their phones. With the Note 7 they started charging the cards 6 days before we got the phones and that weekend the shipping labels were printed.

Different manufacturers have different rules relating to when retailers can ship pre-orders. With the Samsung S7 T-Mobile shipped around 2 weeks early. With the Note 7 we only got it 1 day early and talk was floating around that the other carriers complained to Samsung about T-Mobile releasing the S7 so early ahead of other carriers (which I can understand) and Samsung cracked down on pre-orders shipping early... hence getting the Note 7 only 1 day early. Who knows if it is actually true but it does seem possible.

It also probably Samsung controlling the narrative and release. Review embargo lifted probably late this week and give green light for shipping. I think as mentioned we will see everyone start shipping around 17th or 18th to have them in our hands around 20th.

Seriously?????? My Galaxy S7 Edge just decided it does not want to work correctly anymore. It is rebooting constantly and now won't read my SD card. Of course it is an ATT version phone and I just switched to T-Mobile a couple of weeks ago. FML!!!!! I need the S8 Plus now... Can you hear me now Samsung and T Mobile???? UGH
