T-Mobile S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

Did T-Mobile JOD for the regular S10, prism white 512GB.

Thanks to some bad information I got from a Verge or PocketNow article that was since edited, I was under the impression that the 128GB variant only came with 6GB of RAM -_-

I only realized until after my pre-order that both of the S10 variants come with 8GB RAM. That was the only reason I got the 512GB version, extra RAM. Oh well, T-Mobile's billing can be so finicky so I just stuck with my order. JOD down payments were less than I thought, on the plus side.

Some more info on the snafu and misinformation that led to me going 512GB S10 instead of 128GB, just FYI. https://pocketnow.com/galaxy-s10-6gb-vs-8gb-ram/amp?__twitter_impression=true

I pre-ordered on launch day but via Shop Samsung app on my S9 which I will be trading in.

I got my Note 7 and 8 a few days before expected ship date, hopefully this is the case here.

We will get them around 6th ort 7th I bet.

Yeah, that's a good bet.

I will say though that you never know with T-Mobile. Release day is always a Friday. When I preordered the Note 8, I got it on the Wednesday of the week before release day, i.e. a full NINE days early. So who knows?

If I were to buy an S10, I learned my lesson -- I'm going to wait a month. It seems like the new Galaxy phones always go on sale 1-2 months after they've been released. If I do buy one, I think I'll have a hard time choosing (depending on sale prices) between the S10 and the S10e -- I prefer the flat screen but want 8 GBs memory, which brings the price close to the S10 price which has several extra features (like the extra cameras).

Pre-ordered a black S10+ from TMobile this evening. was on the fence whether to go plus or not, but after playing with them at Best buy I think the plus is much more manageable than the note I have now. Almost went with the white for that stormtrooper look, but decided to go with the black.

Oh I remember those days. I got my Note 7 about 1 week or so before release day. I was so pumped when the UPS man was across the street with my phone I had to chase him down to make sure he didn't forget to drop off my phone.. Ahh the memories.

Dude, these pre-order threads and the fun of waiting for a new phone are most of the reason why I get a new phone every six months. :)

Nice! I did the same thing by going to Tmo store. I thought if it was bigger than my V20, I'd get the regular S10 but it's actually slightly smaller and the bigger battery was a no brainer for me.

I've done about 4 pre-orders now with T-Mobile, never had to worry about asking for overnight shipping and I got my phone on the same day as everyone else. I usually get the phone a day or two before the official launch day but that is never a garuntee. I think it was with the Note 5 that T-Mobile shipped it out almost a week before the official launch date and the other carriers got PO'd. After that it has typically been 1-2 days early, Samsung probably stepped in and told the carriers not to ship any more than X days prior to launch date.

I remember my claim to fame was when UPS mistakenly shipped my s8+ early. I think u had it 4 days before everyone else.

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the 10+ 128 black. Managed to get $100 bill credit to offset the $250 down payment. Not as good as the $200 credit I got towards the note 9, but it's better than nothing.

How did you manage that?

A little complaining with Twitter help. Haven't been with them long enough for the lower down payment, but I do gave 8 lines.
