T-Mobile S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

may i ask if anyone else is interested in removing the already-applied screen protector please?

i don't like the feel of it on edges, etc, so i'd rather not have a screen protector.

thank you.
I have a case on my phone already so I haven't noticed the sensation on the edges. Phone went from the box, into the case.

The finger print sensor is awful. Miles worse than the OnePlus 6T.

I have re-registered it even. System update has been done.

FWIW, I kept the screen protector. It's no tempered glass but it fits with all my cases and can be replaced for $30. This thing is a keeper!

Tell me about it this is the only thing I don't like about the phone but it's a big issue because I'm constantly having trouble opening the phone

Phone is great so far but I hate that they took off the pressure home key as well the fingerprint sensor is not that great
I definitely miss the home key and keep trying to press it.
I've had pretty good luck with the FPS though. Not sure why everyone else seems to be having issues.

What program or app do you guys use for this for Mac?
Don't own a mac so I'm not sure. Just plug your old sd card into the computer and copy the files to a new folder then put the new sd card in and copy the folder to the card.

i can't figure out how to add a virtual "button" to wake the phone up, i.e. a virtual HOME button, at the bottom of the S10+ screen?
You should be able to go into Motions and gestures in Settings to enable Double tap to wake.

i can't figure out how to add a virtual "button" to wake the phone up, i.e. a virtual HOME button, at the bottom of the S10+ screen? i am interested in mostly to wake the phone up while it is resting on a table or nightstand, for example. i used to merely press where the HOME button would have been, and a virtual button is right there. simple. now, i'm required to use the right hand side's physical on/off button to take the phone up.

is there another way to more conveniently wake the phone up please?

may i ask if anyone might be so kind as to help, please?

on the S9+, it was a given, nothing one needs to do!

thank you in advance.

There is an option under settings that you can double tap to wake up.

Ditto @Victor Hernandez Jr's comment: I also dislike the fact that there is no way to enable a standard "home key" anymore. pressing the screen twice is a lot more work to open up the phone considering it is something we must do many many times a day! Sheesh, who's the Einstein who thought to do this?

I know im 3 hours late and someone else might've answered your question but they removed the hard press home button, now you double tap the screen to wake it up.

Well, semantics but you're technically just tapping it twice. As opposed to having to actually press before. All told it's a wash when it comes to effort, though neither is slow or difficult. I never used that feature anyway but having been a fan of double-tap-to-wake since the Nokia Lumia days of 2012, I think you'll adjust pretty quickly. There's also a lift-to-wake feature, so sometimes you won't have to bother tapping or pressing at all.

Theirs a lift to wake feature cool hubby will like that. We loved the double tap when it was on our HTC and I had it on my Nexus 9 made by HTC.

Seems I was just editing my post when you mentioned this. Yup, lift-to-wake will make hard-pressing a soft home button vs. double-tap anywhere on the screen a moot point much of the time.

Just pre-ordered tonight while I could still get the preorder bonus. Estimated ship date of 3/27-4/2, so there's a chance I won't even get it in time to redeem the bonus by 4/4... This sucks

Edit: T Mobile 128gb Prism Black s10+, probably useful info
