According to credit card merchant agreements, they cannot charge you until it ships.

I was charged over the weekend still no movement

I hope that isn't true. Because with the always chance of a delay there will be some really p*ssed off people on friday if they don't get their phones while others just walk into the store.

The change will probably happen overnight if it's going to post. The card I used always moves from pending to posted overnight. See what happens in the morning.

I agree. Especially with the $20 "service fee" they charge now if you want to place an order over the phone or in person when you could buy it on the 19th and not pay the fee. Really no advantage to pre ordering. The rep at the store said I'd probably get it a couple days before release date usually.

My charge changed from 8/13 to 8/15 but is still pending.
