This is a guess on my end, but I wouldn't be surprised if the T-Mobile V30 has the Band 71, or T-Mobiles 600mhz band. It would be the first device to use it, and I think the V20 was the first device to use band 66 last year. Looks like the Note 8 doesn't support it from what has been said.

They have a band that no one is using?

Yep, I think it will almost definitely have band 71. It would help people in more rural areas receive a better signal, here at my house I'm lucky if I get a bar.

Nobody knows for sure until T-Mobile announces it. Everything we know so far has been this site said this and this site said that. I wouldn't hold my breath until it's been officially announced by T-Mobile.

I just read that it does have the 600mhz band. First T-mobile phone to be able to use it.

Yeah, BGR isn't the most reliable, but exactly, who knows.

I would have expected TMo to have announced Band 71 compatibility for the Note 8 by now if it was compatible. With the V30 they announced compatibility almost immediately so I guess it is not. Also, TMo said the V30 is the first (see comment above), the Note 8 was announced prior to the V30.

Their Note 8 will have band 71 also

It does not. Qualcomm already confirmed it will not be available for the T-Mobile Note 8.

Really? I heard some say it would and some said it wouldn't, so hopefully you are right.

It won't work for the Note 8. Only the V30. Hence why T-Mobile even came out and said the V30 will be their "First phone" for their new spectrum.

This is correct.

Ok, thanks, that's what I thought.
