T-Mobile won't carry the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P: what does that mean for Band 12, VoLTE, and VoWiFi?

How they change their mind. The nexus 6P is what I was going to use my Jump worth.

I'm not sure it'll "definitively" be answered until the VoLTE certification actually happens, but at least the WiFi calling (integral with Marshmallow) part has been answered.

I can sort of understand what's going on - I use an Oppo Find 7 and it will lock on Band 4. If the phone did not have the ability to switch, you would get data only.

I'm looking for 2 new phones - both unlocked and unbranded by TMO.
I see that Edge is being repurposed, but I've also seen posts that CAL is dropping some HSPA and I'm all confused over what's coming and what's going.

For instance, these are the specs for the Oppo:

Technology GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - all models
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - international model
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - Mexico & US model
4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 20(800) - International model
LTE 700 / 1700 / 2100 - Mexico & US model
Speed HSPA, LTE

What I want to see is a note besides each - TMO keeping, being repurposed, dropping. Band 4 isn't listed as such but LTE Discovery app says it is Band 4 LTE,

I'm sort of looking at Motorola - I think I'd like the Pure, but my daughter needs a phone, too.
She is in the UK, and has an old Nokia C6 that will not work very well anymore. She has a phone line waiting, and I would have to argue TMO into a Microsim for her somehow. There is another phone in the Motorola line that would suit her. ZTE might be another possibility.

I do not want a Nexus, Samsung, HTC, LG or any other phone that is full of extra stuff I don't want.
