T9/Word

Hey guys, Im getting my Thunderbolt by next Tuesday, and I was just wondering if HTC still equips their phones with the T9/Word/Phone keypad typing thing lol. I no a lot of ppl love swype but i hate the qwerty keyboards so im hoping i dont have to hack my way into installing T9.

Better Keyboard from the market has a T9 option. I've never used it, but it's always gotten good reviews.

Yes i think so they have 3 keyboards QWERTY, Phone Keypad(T9 i think), and Compact QWERTY (Blackberry style). But QWERTY has word prediction which woeks great for me. Hope this hepls.

Also, just FYI, you can shut off T9/Word with the stock keyboard as well. So it can be flipped on and off whenever you want

Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Touch input -> Text input -> Then turn off 'prediction' and 'word completion' (spell correction too, if you want)
