T95 Max Android TV Box

Have an T95Max android TV box. Installed trend micro anti-virus, ran a scan that failed because the device is rooted. Is this a safe thing? If not, can it be unrooted and still function well?

Some boxes are rooted, there's aren't. I would normally have security concerns but there's not really much of a risk if you use a different Google account to your main one. To unroot your only option is for the manufacturer to offer it
