Tab S wants my S5 dim card

This is simple ignorance.

I'm setting up this new 4G Tab S. I also have a Galaxy S5 phone.

First thing was 'Insert your Sim card.' WHICH Sim card? Checked with my ISP: 'The one in your phone'. (They confirmed that they couldn't give me a copy.) Took that out, put it in the Tab S: it worked fine.

Of course the phone doesn't work AT ALL......

What am I doing wrong? So new thing simple and stupid.....

If you want mobile data on both devices you'll need to pay for service for the second device. Once you have signed up for said service, they will provide a SIM card to use for that service.

If you have WiFi available, or if you can can WiFi tethering through your S5, you have no need for mobile data service on the tablet. Of course, you need to decide if not having mobile data on the tablet when you're not near WiFi is an issue for you or not.
