Tab S5E Samsung Pass not working

i cannot get Samsung Pass to work on the S5E. i have setup my samsung account and when i go to samsung pass in settings it shows all my passwords i have saved. it works perfect on my S8+, but it will never autofill on the S5E. the one thing i did notice is that under Autofill service in settings, on my S8+ it shows Google along with Autofill with Samsung Pass. but on my S5E it only shows Google and Samsung Pass is not an option. has anyone else got Samsung Pass to work on the S5E or ran into the same issue.
