Sorry I realize these have been discussed many times but I'm having trouble finding clear benefits and disadvantages to each of the options
As the title says, I'm going to put a tablet, nexus 7, in the dash of my car. I'm trying to sort out the best audio solution, for me.
I've concluded that i can use a the 3.5mm out and convert it to stereo rca. I could then run that into a typical car audio amplifier. Is there any reason I would not want to do this?
I've seen people use a USB DAC like the Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface. I assume the quality would be a little better than the analog signal from the 3.5mm? How much better? Would there be any notable difference to the ear?
I've seen a couple people use mini amps with built in bluetooth. I realize this is probably the best way to get the signal to the amp but its one I want to avoid as I will already have several other bluetooth connections being used. ODB2, bluetooth teathering, and pushing phone/sms between the devices. I feel like this will already be to much or nearly to much for bluetooth so I just want to avoid this option.
Are there any other options I'm missing?
Also a second half of this is the volume control. I've only seen 2 options so i'm sure i'm missing some.
#1 Is using an rca gain adjuster, like a PAC LC1 for example.
#2 is a processor with built in gain control. I'd like to avoid the extra processor if possible.
Is there any way to do it form the tablet more fluently than bringing down the menu and using the slider? The rockers on the side wont be accessible.
Thanks in advance all.
