1. I received my Connected from Tokyo 2 weeks ago. Wore the watch for just 6 days before i noticed that there were are bubbles between the glass and the LCD display. Please see attached picture. It cannot be water as I've not exposed it to any wster. I was extremely disappointed as I've been wanting to get the watch since it's launch in Nov 15.

2. I brought the watch immediately to the Tag Heuer customer service centre in Singapore where I stay.

3. They told me that they will have to consult the main office in Switzerland as the watch is not launched in Singapore yet. To date I've no idea how long I'll have to wait to get it back.

4. Wonder if anyone out there have encountered this defect also.

5. Extremely disappointed 😞

This may be a stupid question but did you remove the protective film off the screen?

I don't own the tag but most electronics will come with an adhesive screen protector that is supposed to be removed.

I have same problem with Air Bubbles Insede Screen. I handed the watch to a local service TAG for warranty and I'm still waiting for a report from the workshop.

I picked my new watch up last week and within a day its done exactly the same. Good job it has a 2 year warranty! Love the watch but not impressed with the screen 'bubbles'IMG_20160510_115323.jpg

Tag Heuer gave me a replacement watch instead of fixing the screen. The replacement took about a month as they had to ship it in from overseas. But the guys at my local Tag Customer Service did good by keeping me updated on this. I've no problems with the replacement watch so far.

Sent the watch back on Thursday and received and email yesterday saying they had looked at it and a replacement will be sent out today. Have to say that's very good customer service! (providing I actually get the watch!!!)

That's good news. You should get the new replacement watch. Better to drop them an email occasionally to track the progress.

TAG are sending it by DPD so I should have it on the 18 or 19th I imagine. To be fair TAG have been excellent so far.

I had exactly the same problem, returned the watch to Tag. Excellent customer service and received a replacement watch within 3 weeks. However, I have been wearing the new watch for about 10 days now and am starting to see 'bubbles' again! I think it is acid from fingers reacting to the coating on the screen (just a guess based on no science whatsoever!). This is a real shame because I love the watch.

Had the same issue...bubbles that started small and spread over time. TAG replaced it after a delay they blamed on a "stocking issue". Sounds like demand is high. Wonder if it's an overheating issue causing the coating to degrade...they did warn me about leaving it plugged into anything other than a wall outlet. I avoided laptop / car charging out of fear!

The serial number of the replacement begins with PE, while the first one with the issue started with GL. Curious about other folks. Hope nothing happens with this one because waiting on the replacement was torture!

My 2nd watch is a GL serial number not sure what the first was. Had it 3 weeks now and worn pretty much every day, multiple charges etc and no bubbles so far.

If I had to guess at the reason for this failure, it's the presence of dust particles during assembly. I bet they didn't assemble the touch screen in a clean room and they should have. All it took was some repeated finger pressure to make voids appear.

Tag sent me a brand new watch! Took 3 weeks as promised. So far so good! All apps reloaded themselves via Android Wear when I paired to my Galaxy S7. Upgraded to Android OS 6.01, and applied 2 security patches. Old watch was PE0537HR62xxxxx, new watch is PE0538HR62xxxxx. New watch is in pristine condition. Screen is bubble-free and perfect. Will post if anything changes.

I returned my Tag Smartconnect watch to the dealer in the UAE 2 weeks ago and so far it hasn't even left the country to go back to Switzerland. I posted the images from this thread direct to TAG in Switzerland was promised a response in 3 days. 2 weeks later NOTHING! Very disappointed in TAGs customer service.

The bubbles are coming from the Anti Reflective coating that Tag uses. I have had the same thing happen to another mechanical tag I own. It will contoniue to come back. I have asked Tag to simply polish off the coating and not put it back on my mechanical watch and I'm about to do the same for the connected.

My screen is still in pristine condition. They fixed it right. As a bonus, I now get almost 3 days wear from a single charge. Before the exchange it didn't even last a full day. This became a watch that I actually use and can recommend.
