Tale of 2 Epics, 1 w/ instant GPS locks

So Iv had an epic for about a month now, bought it used off ebay..Came with ECO5 but i rooted and installed SRF 1.1 rom on there. GPS always took/takes a good 30-40 seconds to pick up even with stock ECO5.

My gf bought a new Epic yesterday. Took it out of the box, ECO5 on there. turned on gps, opened up google maps and within 2 seconds BAM! gps locked on. We restarted, tried again, and within 3 seconds it instantly grabbed our location....

What is the difference here? Any apps to help improve gps lock times?

You could Odin back to stock EC05 to wipe the device and/or use GPS Status or other apps to clear/reset GPS. Worth a shot.
