Tap instead of swiping to answer & end calls?

So by mistake I held the floating icon to move it like I would in an iPhone and at the top of the phone popped up )
"Here to hide"

Now it's gone and I can tap to answer.

That's good , I'll try it out thanks

Yep, totally confused. Single tap option still doesn't do it and floating icon being talked about not sure about that either. If someone could he super nice and maybe do screen shots?

So why won't Samsung use the proximity sensor to just put to your ear to answer a call. No buttons to push, nothing to swipe. HTC and others have done this and it's so much easier to answer a call.

Settings > accessibility >interaction/ dexterity > toggle assistant menu
Then the floating notifications drag all the way up to your top screen and hold until it disappears

Thanks for the tip on hiding the floating notifications! I'd missed single tap but hated that floating “thing”!

That was actually @Dmanaz that found it and just spreading the message to others .
I dont like floating icons or notifications either

Yay! Single tap back, floating button gone but if you swipe down to see this.
Anyway to make that go away? Not a big deal if not but didn't know.

Hi I realise this thread is kinda old but I found the solution.

Do this exactly: Turn on assistant menu. Turn on single tap mode. Do NOT hide the floating menu icon. Navigate to settings-> apps-> 3 dots and show system apps-> assesibility-> scroll down to "appear on top" and tap-> turn off permission-> force stop accessibility.

Now you should not have floating icon or notification and still have single tap. How this works!

The floating menu comes back when the phone restarts...

Yes that is the only flaw. I just force stop accessibility after every restart. Haven't found a way to permanently remove icon.
