temporary root?

Hoping someone here can help. I remember when the first version of unrevoked came out for the Evo running 2.1, it was a temporary root in that you lost root access once the phone was rebooted. Are there are any other similar methods/programs out there that will grant temporary root access on an otherwise stock 2.2 Evo? I really only want to run Wireless Tether and/or do a Titanium Backup. I have no need for trying out different ROMs/kernels and I don't want to do a permanent root in case I need to take the phone back to Sprint for service, and then having to deal with having to unroot and return the phone to stock. Any help is appreciated.

There is no temp root that I know of.

I suggest a full root, unrooting is realllllly simple and easy.

Besides wouldn't a temp root not allow you to run SU priveleges when you start the app? That or you would have to redo the temp root when you restart your phone.
