tether not working

this same question was asked earlier but no answer to it.
rooted with bamf cubed, wifi tether and barnacle will not work. tried 2 different computers, 2 different wireless aps uninstalled, reinstalled. fixed permission and nothing works. it worked when i had ginger 3d. buddy of mine has the same phone same ROM and his is fine. feel its a setting i am missing
sorry but dont need any responses of "mine works just fine" replies
i am looking for a resolution if anyone has one.

You say you used "2 different wireless aps"... what APPS did you use??? Did you try Wireless Tether... and if you did what version??? I downloaded and used 2.0.7 and it works just fine on BAMF Forever 1.0.9.

Could be your kernel, try a different kernel.

Indicate what tether apps you're using, and also what behavior you're seeing.

i.e. "I'm using wireless tether 2.0.7 and when I turn it on the phone freezes up and requires a battery pull" or "I'm using Barnacle and it says the wifi tether is turned on, but none of my computers can see it/connect to it", etc.

Side note, FYI, "fix permissions" is usually for issues where you're getting a lot of FC's on apps (you'll usually notice right at boot up)...not just for fixing random app errors. No harm done, but may be wasted time.

Sorry about that I should have said what I am using. I tried 3 different versions of the wireless tether including 2.0.7 , barnacle the one that came with the rom and open garden. The computers will see the connection between the phone and the computer but it will not connect. So the phone will transmit the signal. Fixed permissions already. Reinstalled binaries and such.

All this using BAMF Cube... did you try a different ROM... maybe Forever, or is this the only ROM you've tried???

It worked with gingeritis 3D.

never mind now. thanks for the inputs, got this to work for me. still dont get why the other didnt and this will. but its working now.

Mine did the same until I enabled "routing fix"
