Tethering Fascinate to Motorola Xoom for mobile data at no extra charge

Has anybody done this successfully with a fascinate? I'd like to do this with the wifi-only Xoom that has nothing to do with Verizon. I've heard you can do it with bluetooth but I have not heard about how to do it with a Fascinate. I don't want to pay for verizon's mobile hotspot service. Has anybody had any luck with this? Thanks.

P.S. My phone is rooted already so I've at least gotten that far.

I'm in the exact same boat as you and have not been able to make it work yet. I have tried the bluetooth method and the tether option and nothing works.

I use Barnacle http://market.android.com/details?id=net.szym.barnacle&feature=search_result on my Fascinate when I want to tether it to my laptop or iPad.

I'm with Nick A on using Barnacle. It works great, but it does require rooting though.
