Tethering from phone to Nook not consistent

I have my Nook rooted to Honeycomb from adb. Tethering from my EVO works fine for my computer, ps3, etc. on 4G, but not my Nook. It shows that it is connected, but after loading a web page or two, it just stops loading the pages completely. Any ideas?

Do you have the most up to date version of Wireless Tether?

NC over 4G doesn't work with Wireless Tether or paid Sprint Hotspot. 3G does. I have also tried Nooky Froyo and stock 1.01 and 1.1 NC. I have also eliminated individual Sprint Wimax antenna and environmental RF interference by trying in more than one location in my city. Also tried more than one NC. I'm running EVO's 3.70.651.1 from December. This OTA updated the 4G radio to fix unspecified issues. It fixed 4G not staying alive over time for me.

I'm running myn's rom and tether 2.06 and 4G tether works great with my nook. I often have my phone, desktop, netbook and nook all hooked up and tethering at once on 4G. Nook is either running rooted 1.01 or honeycomb. Both work.

Edit...I better test this more thoroughly. I do most of my browsing over other wifi so haven't really tested robustness of nook on Evo.

It might been an evo issue. I use a clear 4g hotspot and it works great.

It might been an evo issue.

Thanks, I think we can establish now that this is Evo-specific. I know of someone on an Epic too that says doesn't have the issue.

Anyone know the IP differences between Sprint 3G and Wi-Fi, and 4G? Why is the Nook Color being handled differently to, say, a laptop. And, how does the Evo handle requests differently to the Clear device, for example? Is it hardware related to the 4G radio? Apps Hotspot or Wireless Tether both fail, so not software specific. Also, NC over Froyo or 1.1 is irrelevant, so it's not a software issue at the browser level?

I can try some more on my Evo. Mine is rooted with the SprintLovers ROM. The 4G footprint seems to be growing every day in my area and I think I now have 4G at home. The only issue is I have a number of Wifi access points at home and the EVO does not seem to play well with another AP nearby. Maybe I can try this in my backyard.
