What is the easiest way to tether my connection to my PC? I have pdanet but I cant access a lot because they want to charge for full access.

Can I do that unrevoked thing? And I am connecting my phone to my PC via usb so its not wireless like bluetooth or anything.

Is the app called Wireless Tether or what?

EDIT: I got Wireless Tether and it doesnt give my PC any internet connection at all. I need to connect my phone to my PC via USB to get internet. I dont have a wireless card. So is there any app that does that for free?

One your rooted, either method works.. you can download wireless tether from the Android app store.

One click solution!

If you have an Evo, Android Wired Tether's APK listed on their main page won't work. I found a workaround for it and another user compiled a working version.

Here's a link to that version:

The information about this problem and the solution can be read here if downloading from my dropbox feel shady.

I didn't explain one thing about Android Wired Tether. It's simple, there's only one button to toggle the connection on and off. If you have Windows 7 you don't need to install any software, it will just work. If you have something old, like Windows XP, you need to install HTC Sync. If you're rooted, you probably already have it installed. Enjoy :)

I've been trying to make that exact same app for like a month and a half now!

Now that I see how he got it to work... its so easy. I was trying to run a file, didn't realize I could get java to run a terminal command. :( I wish someone on anddev.org could have helped me out.

Yeah, I had now idea about coding in Java. I just stumbled onto the commands that make it work for HTC CDMA phones. There's a code that will do USB tethering without any GUI or anything. It's /system/bin/netsharing net on && echo 4 > /sys/devices/platform/msm_hsusb/usb_function_switch. Just experimenting with the second command, I found it made Wired Tether work. Hooray for accidents, huh?
