Tethering????

Ok...before I go insane..uggg! I just bought my T-Mobile MyTouch 4G today. The Radio Shack guy told me I could find free software to make my phone a free hotspot. Where can I find the software?...I have been searching and not finding anything but forums. Also what is the "root" stuff, is there something else I have to do before the d/l?

You can just plug it in your laptop and on the drop down menu on your phone just select tether. Its free.

No rooting is necessary on the MT4G. Just go to the app Wi-Fi Hotspots. It's already installed on your phone.

Yep, its built into the phone. Works great for me. The password that came on the phone is 1234567890.

go through the apps on your phone there is a link down toward the bottom of your app drawer for wifi tether already there

tmobile made it very easy to tether with this phone

Actually it was Google not T-Mobile.
Wifi hotspot and tethering are native the Android version 2.2 ( Froyo ).

Go to settings/wireless & networks/portable wifi hotspot
