Text going out to wrong person

I guess there is some other issue outside the normal Android one on the T-bolt. Once I switched to Handcent, I never had an issue on my EVO or NS4G

I had this happen for the first time yesterday. Fortunately, it wasn't as embarrassing as it could have been. Still, this is a pretty serious problem, even if it only happens once in awhile. I'm now afraid to send any txt messages.

I had this happen yesterday for the first time too. Went to send my friend a text and instead of going to him it went to his wife! Fortunately it wasn't a bad text, just a little joke she understood and they both laughed about. The way it was written also made it obvious that it was not intended for her.

This is a problem. I know this happens on my friends and his wifes (different friend) Galaxy S phones on T-Mobile.

No it's a Froyo issue.... I've spent alot of time going through other forms. It's not just a TBolt issue.

Odd. I have never heard of itaffecting other programs though. A friend of mine with a T-bolt who is new to Android was having this issue and I told home to download Hqndcent, and he hasn't had issues since. Does this affect the GB ROMs on the T-bolt too?

Its a different bug than the froyo bug. The typical froyo bug is when you click a conversation, it opens up a different one and you dont notice. With the t-bolt bug, you open a conversation, type what you want, hit send, a delay happens, it switches the conversation on you and then sends the message. I didnt do the first update on this phone, just the most recent one. Before the update I occasionally got the Froyo bug, after the update I get this new one.

Using handcent or go sms doesnt fix it. However, Ive noticed with go sms it will happen, it just doesnt tell you like the stock app does.

I used to experience what you are calling the t-bolt on my EVO. That is what pushed me to handcent

So let me just say that i found out my gf was cheating on me with this little bug and leave it at that. Its a blessing and a curse, and my own tbolt has been rooted and upped to a GB rom so I dont have to deal with the same problem.

I've had the same problem a few times. My only "fix", as far as I know, and so far, would be cutting the message limit down to 100 and not having more than three conversations, which is slightly annoying, but I haven't had it happen with only two windows. (Not 100% sure with three, but I know for sure it happened with four and before I put the limit on)

Yup this is by far the most annoying thing with my thunderbolt.. It has only happened one time since I got my replacement but has happened to others I know too.. Before this replacement it happened all the time...
