Text Message Lock Screen Notification

So just wondering, anyway to view text message notifications like how it is on the iphone? To see who its from but not show a preview of the message? Ive tried messing around with the settings but from what ive experienced its either show person & message or show nothing at all.

thats set to "icons only" it doesnt show who the message is from. I wanna see who sends me messages but for privacy purposes I dont want the message to show

Well, it does what the OP wanted, which displays who and a brief part of the text on the lock screen.

I wanted the text message notification on the lock screen to show who the message is from but no part of what the message says, like how iPhone is. it says *person's name* and then it says "text message" under the name, but samsung has either show person's name & message or show nothing at all, not the name or message. theres no inbetween which is something common but I guess Samsung didnt pick that up.

Okay. I agree, no option to see the 'from' only. Maybe try a different messaging app, instead of using the Samsung one. That's the beauty of Android.

Speaking of, I read the Microsoft SMS Organizer app is pretty cool. Not sure about the notification options though.
