Text message?

Well I usually never have a problem with text messages but since I got the incredible I have had nothing but problems. Very often Ill get text messages out of order. Someone will say " whats up" then "man is your phone working?" however ill get the second message first. I thought it might be just the service but today I sent a text and it takes my text 30 min and even longer for me to receive a response. My friend who has verizon is having no problem sending text and receiving but I am. So anyone else having this problem or is it just the service fudging up?

i have never had a problem on the Inc. try clearing the cache/data by going to settings>applications>manage applications the clear.

Try rebooting and updating your prl as well. Might help.

Yeah, something's not right. That is NOT normal behavior for this phone.

That's not a problem with the phone, it's a problem with Verizon's network. I've had problems with all of my Verizon phones with text messages having multiple hour long delays, receiving messages out of order, etc. Try rebooting the phone, and call Verizon to have it re-programmed. On my non-Android phone, I just need to call *228 to have my phone reprogrammed, but I'm not sure how you'd do it on an Android device.

I have another type of "text message" problem. i have been receiving texts without notifications, it doesnt ring or anything. I wont know until i go into my text msg inbox. it wont even show an "1" indicator in the front, its only when i go into the text msgs then it's "bold" for the new texts. sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. gets frustrating after a while bc i feel like i have to always go into my text inbox to make sure i didnt get a text.

does anyone have that problem? im not sure how to reboot or whats updating your prl is.
