Yeah I hate that FB syncs all your friends too and I never synced my contacts on my OG EVO. But you can uncheck them so they don't show up in your people and I have them unchecked so they don't show up in Handcent. Now if I click on the phone to make a call I see them all in that list. And what bugs me is I email my friend Steve all the time and when I swype Steve is shows me other Steve's that are my FB friends and I hate that. Always afraid I may send an email to the wrong Steve. But I synced the Sense one this time cause the people who are in my address book I like seeing there info and how it associates there picture when they call me so for now I am syncing sense. I don't understand the difference though between synching the app and the sense one but I just did sense. Or uploading a picture what's the difference of uploading from one to the other.

Yea, unfortunately for those who want to have emails and other numbers and accounts linked to one person, you will see the number and that's something you'll have to sacrifice if you dont like it.

I think HTC did it on purpose since some people can receive texts from one contact through multiple numbers. I don't see why email addresses and facebook has to affect it though..

You may have to pick. No number, no facebook. Facebook, you'll have the number.

I personally HATE syncing my Facebook due to the fact that it always adds ALL of my friends to my phonebook.

Another note: I dont want to have to download Handcent or another 3rd party messaging app that will take up space and RAM to do what I want to do.

I'm not crazy about it too, but I HAVE to have the image next to the contacts.

I don't have to, but prefer it. Unfortunately, the EVO 3D seems to randomly decide which picture takes precedent (i have google, twitter, and fb links). I manually adjusted it... and then it went back! I think FB takes precedent, but I don't want that. So I unsynced it all.

Hope HTC adds some updated options for sense 3 down the road to address this.

Though, w/ ICS coming soon, I wonder if it'll all be thrown away for sense 4 (given ICS will be a change in UI probably).
