Text Messages

So the standard text app that comes on the phone, I'm trying to get my texts from my S20 to the 21. It won't beam, won't transfer via wire or wifi. Any suggestions?

Use smart switch on pc and back up the s20 and then connect your s21 to transfer them from smart switch on pc

Well here is a new one. It all transferred to the PC, but trying to transfer it to the new phone, says it can't be transferred

Strange , just highlight message and try again.

Since you backed up to PC with smart switch. I would just plug the Usb C that came with the phone. New phone into old phone.

I've had a better experience that way. My messages wouldn't transfer either thru smart switch. So phone to phone had no issues.

Normal Samsung texting app.

Phone to phone wouldn't work either which was super odd. It did fine when I did my S10+ to 20 ultra.

Is smart switch up to date on the pc? Try rebooting The computer?

Well after (no joke) 15 attempts, 3 reboots and me trying to bargain with the phone, it finally worked. I know to some it may sound stupid about old texts, but one is rather sentimental to me.

Greyhound, but we've heard that before.
Unfortunately that girl in the pic passed and we have a new one. I need to change it.
