Text messaging glitch?

Maybe it is just me but whenever I am typing out a text message, I get a random period that ends a sentence and then the next word is automatically capitalized. Quite annoying, although it does make me proof read before sending.

I have noticed it on the Swype, Swiftkey, Google and the ZTE keyboards.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Is there a chance you are hitting the spacebar twice? Some keyboards or messaging apps will interpret 2 spaces as a sentence end, and drop a period.

ETA:
In Swiftkey Settings, go to Typing & AutoCorrect, and you will see a setting for "Quick Period", and another setting for "Auto Capitalize". If both of those are on, you will experience the behavior you describe.
