I am having some trouble figuring out how to set just one text tone. Every time I get a text my notification tone will go off then my text tone. Is there any way to have just one universal notification tone?

I don't think so. The notification tone is letting you know that a text message is coming in. Go to settings>sound>volume, and play around with the settings in there. Maybe you can lower, or turn off the notification sound, without turning off the text message sound. Good luck.

Well you could set your text tone the same as your notification tone if you wanted it to be the same

Got into your messaging app, click the menu button then click settings from there, then you can change just your messaging tone from there

You can then go into your phone settings and then change your actual notification sound
