Textra has eliminated colored icons

I kind of like the shapes more than the colors. It will be easier for me to pick a shape and remember who has what for each contact than the colors.

If you still have the 3.50 version it's there, but once you update to 4.0 the colors will be gone.

JoBudden, I think that you are talking about the app icon color.

I was right there with you, but found that I like the custom icons better than the colors.

My wife = the heart icon.
My son, whom we've always referred to as our cub = paw print.
My best friend, whose been my friend forever = infinity sign
Group texts with him & his wife = the star.

So, I prefer the custom shapes to colors.

The absolutely beyond hysterical thing though is...

Assuming Textra isn't lying about Google not allowing colored icons anymore, and I don't see why they would since they went to the trouble of making custom icons, then obviously Google wants to be the ONLY ones with color on the AOD.

For those not in the Pie/OneUI beta, the clock, date/day on the AOD are in... wait for it...

COLOR!! Blue to be exact.

So it's NOT that Google won't support color... they just obviously want to be the ONLY ones who can do it, lol.
