Textra Lockscreen Popup?

So I was getting a little annoyed by the standard texting app. I was told to download Textra because it's better, and I like it for the most part. My main issue is that on the lockscreen there isn't a popup similar to the default messaging app's notifcation. I downloaded Dashclock and it has an extention, but I have to pull Dashclock down to really view it. Is there a way to get it similar to how the default messaging app has it?

If not, is there another SMS app I should download that's better?
