I'm already a very experienced developer, just not for Android. I've been trying to get into it lately but my S2 is falling apart and CM dropped support some time ago. I'm sure any Android dev knows the pain of having to deal with emulators too. The OPO would certainly help me to really get into development for the Android platform.
