The clear searches on Facebook on my Galaxy S5 doesn't respond. Any suggestions?

The clear searchs on Facebook on my Gallaxy S5 doesn't respond. Any suggestions?

When on Facebook, I search using the looking glass icon and type in a name. When I want to clear the name I hit the edit link and it goes to clear search under the activity log but doesn't clear my search. Any suggestions?

1) Unfriend app. I've been FB free for over a year and I don't miss it one bit. Amazing how much time is freed up.
2) BFH. Pre lolipop touchwiz deserves no less.
3) That numerical dohicky screen, that, um, oh yeah, TELEPHONE! Use it.
