The Coronavirus Maze-How are we navigating it today?

How many people you see wear a mask.
That is for hospital personnel.
I was in the house a month ago.
Couldn't leave my room .
To go get a MRI..
They had to put a yellow gown on me..mask and gloves..
They didn't allow me to walk on the floor.
As soon as I came back.
Everything came off and went in the garage can by the door.

With the stem cell placement i had.
They destroyed my immune system.

I have been out of remission for 7 months.

I understand your situation and that you need to take every precaution possible. You, in particular, need to stay out of public as best you can and protect yourself.

As far as seeing people wear masks, that is going to depend on where you live. I am in New York State which has been hit very hard so 95% or more of people are wearing masks. Maybe not walking down the street but anywhere they are near people. I work in a hospital so it is second nature to me.

Coronavirus

When it comes to masks, it depends. Any strip of cloth covering your face could constitute a mask, but that doesn't make it effective. That's why I don't care about places requiring them (I won't go in) or if others wear them in public. You can't get an effective mask anywhere because they were all going to medical personal and first responders. That's understandable, but means the general public is left to use whatever they can cobble together, and there's no way to tell if what they have on is actually stopping the virus if they have it. Even if it stops 50% of the viral agents, that still leaves way more than enough to infect others, thus not an effective means of blocking it.

Do what you can, but no one should assume something like a bandana or basic dust mask is going to be effective at blocking transmission.

I agree that we cannot ensure every face covering will stop the virus but it does help. A vaccine is not 100% effective but certainly diminishes the effects of the flu, etc. I doubt we will ever have 100% effectiveness against COVID-19, the flu, cancer, or other diseases. They are something we need to learn to adapt to by being smart about the way we live and caring how our actions affect others.

You might as well get used to this.
And stop worrying about everybody else.

This is probably gonna be the new norm.
Life as we knew it might take a while before of if we ever get back to it.

If you got your mask on, And you are properly covered.
Why worry about the next person.

Take care of yourself.

Guess its according to where you live.

I live out in a small retirement community in the country.

Most people don't live here..they live somewhere else.

They come up on the weekends, every now and then.

I’m sure is does. Different places, different people. City vs. country. We can’t control other people but we can lead by example and do what is best for everyone.

This coronavirus is bringing out all the scammers as well.....lol buyers and sellers please beware!!!!!

People in the country are not wearing masks.

Think they have had 18 cases since this started.
Laredo, TX tried to fine you $1,000 for not wearing one a while back. Not sure if that is still in effect, but it applied to anyone in public. And, like every other place, it made no distinction between effective and ineffective masks. Just any old piece of cloth over your face was acceptable to them.

Can we say money grab?
