Given the recent news about the leak from Equifax....I think we all need to reconsider a password update on all accounts.

What is really sad is this is a rabbit hole worthy of Alice's approval: https://www.extremetech.com/interne...ps-getting-longer-situation-mostly-gets-worse

While changing your passwords may not help, as the SSN info is already out there, it could potentially help against weak password setups.

Other options may include a credit monitoring site, but as the first linked article points out, TrustedID is owned by, you guessed it, Equifax.

Anyone else have any ideas, or concerns?

I understand this probably isn't the forum for this, but I also want as many people to see this as possible.

I have an Experian account but am waiting for my "date" for Equifax signup to see what they're offering. I found credit karma to be fairly useless.

Be sure to read and save all the terms... which seems to be constantly changing since the leak broke.

Discover has a credit monitor for cardholders. I might double check with them if I have that in place.
