I can't disagree that the iPhone wins on all counts. I had a Pixel 3a, but I want a brand new SE 2020. Try to talk me out of it![]()

Yeah andriod better be worried![]()
It definitely gives the opportunity for andriod user that wanted to try Apple but didn't want spend 1k to see the experience , but now at this price might give it a look. I use both platforms so and not tied to either ecosystem .Its a nice phone for users living in the Apple ecosystem, who want a cheap yet powerful phone, but that doesn't make it a great solution for many.
I don't go near Apple, regardless of spec/price as the purchase price is usually a part of the cost equation that matters less over time as you continue to pay for a bunch of stuff that is free on other ecosystems.
I also don't go near Apple as their phones are not that exciting design-wise. Put simply, A lot of high end android flagships are exciting and innovative to look at whereas phones seem sadly pedestrian.
I applaud Apple for exploiting a niche in the market that is likely to remain very relevant as the world slides into a post covid19 recession, but the Apple ecosystem is not for me and I suspect many others who don't want to be locked into Apple while having our pockets emptied....
As usual, the eminent JR Raphael puts this all in a more realistic perspective: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3539018/iphone-se-pixel-4a.html
People have been locked in their homes for over a month and need something to do. Let than have a little fun!![]()
I think the iPhone se2020 is going be a hit with Apple at that price point .
Pretty much. Just as most iPhone users don't switch to Android. After recently having to set up an iPhone 8 as my daughter's first phone, and one for myself as a supervising phone, I can safely say that it has not snatched me away from Android.
But JR's main point is that the breathlessly hyped articles about this phone killing that phone are about as substantial as cotton candy, so we should all step back a bit and reconsider what it all really means.
I dont think you be disappointed.Dare I say it, it checks off 90% of what I look for in a device. It may lead me to leaving android. Not the worst thing, but not the best either. I saw MKBHD's review and it's a solid device.
I dont think you be disappointed.
Yeah definitely , either phone can't go wrong.Yeah but I do prefer Android. I'll wait to see what the 4A brings.
The long-term effects may be what has already been trending in the Android world. Alot of bang for your buck in the mid-range and below segments. There are tons of Android phones under $600 that have amazing design's and features. They may not have the fastest Chip but .. anyone who's used an iPhone or at least watch reviews know that Chip doesn't make a difference in day to day use for the avg or even pro user for the most part. It does makes a difference during intense long-term gaming and or processing and editing video.
For most people, their carrier and internet provider matter's more when the speed of their phone is being judged.IMO. My wife has a galaxy A51 and that phone looks good, has most of the usable features of an s20 but cost 1/3 the price. Yes it takes about 1.5 seconds to load a website, or .7 seconds to open a social Media app. For the avg user that's not even noticeable. Even more so if their coming from a phone they have had 3 or more years. Which is probably gonna be the demo of ppl who will be looking at an iPhone SE
Makes you hungry"As substantial as cotton candy"... I like that!
