The "I've Got My Note 2" Thread!

I know this is a minor, minor thing but... Draw Something with the SPen is FREAKING AWESOME! It's like I'm actually drawing and not spastically fingerpainting.

Anyone in a Sprint LTE area doing any speed tests?

I did a speed test on my girlfriend cuz ip5 in Chicago and was getting 5-8 mb down and 2-3 up on two bars of lte

If found one!!! Had to take a 15 minute subway ride, but I finally got my Note 2 in gray! It is awesome! Trying to get a hang of the S-pen, though...

Got mine yesterday morning and I'm loving it. Since there was only the 16GB version available I plan on buying a 64GB SDXC. Anyone seen any on sale?

I am still sad, these bastards are making me wait an extra week to upgrade !! my contract is up nov 1. I can upgrade early for a 50 dollar fee, plus I have to trade my old phone in.. Which is already sold on ebay for 80 dollars.

I'd get 36 for my phone from sprint, so all in all I'd be paying an extra like 100 dollars to get it early.... probably worth it, but spending 300 is enough

Got a question for the lucky owners. I read in the GS3 forum that the Jellybean update allows you to customize the background in your messaging app, is that the case on the Note 2 as well?

I'll check in here and state that I picked mine up yesterday in San Diego. Without fanfare, oddly. I kept pestering the store when Sprint announced and was told they didn't know. Called them yesterday at 9 and they said they had 4 in stock. I had mine by 10am. I really like it. It is big, but light. I thought it was funny that all the accessories were bright Apple white. At least I won't loose them.
Now, I just need to learn how to really use the sPen. I was trying out the sNote, and found it very accurate. The operation of the phone is quite a bit different then the HTC EVO 4G that I replaced, but give me a week and I'll get used to it. I really like the new voice command interpreter. This one actually understands me. The EVO never understood me....

I am curious how you like it. I have an EVO and am a little worried this may be too big for my pocket? I am also wondering if I will miss sense?

I like it so far. The camera is way better. Very fast. The center button is a bit odd and doesn't seem to fit. I find I keep hitting the menu button because the "menu" is where the "home" button is on the EVO. Screen is very nice, as is the performance. I thought the size was going to be an issue, but I found it fits in my pocket just fine. It is very thin, so it doesn't feel bulky.
If this tells you anything, the more I use it, the more I like it.

Is the camera better than the fast burst app? That's what I've been using for a little over a year now. It seems to have better lighting than any other stock or camera app I've tried....

call up and have them bill you the 50 bucks. I did that with 100 bucks i have to pay. ( upgrade was set for may) And you can just upgrade no need to turn in your old phone if you don't want to. You can keep your phone and sell it online for abit more.

Can anyone confirm if the N2 indeed does NOT have a removable SIM slot? Saw the manual (P.243) indicated it had somekind of SIM. Thanks.

Sorry... I missed this earlier; the SIM is definitely embedded. No getting to it.

The store I got mine at sold out almost right away. ....... Thank God I got up early that day.

I'm in Houston. No problem whatsoever. I just walked into the store. Wasn't even a line. I got mine from the Sprint store on 249 and Gessner.

I thought it was going to be a horrible wait like when I got my OG Evo on the day it came out over two years ago. The wait for that was like 4 hours. It was a line out the door.

Thanks. I will have to do some calling tomorrow,i checked on the way back into town and everyone I called was out.

Got my gn2 two weeks ago.

I dropped it 3 days later but no scratch , dent or crack so far :)

Awesome phone. I dropped it about 3 feet from the groud it survived and i didnt encounter any errors.

It was just like nothing happened XD

pretty sturdy phone :)

I love it

Haven't used that app, but I can tell you that this thing takes great pictures, and has quite a few more features.

Then again, never really had any issues with my S3 camera app, so YMMV.

Ok thanks :-) I'm usually snapping pictures of the dogs in low light places so it's a challenge.

I just got my Note2! This thing is awesome! They only had 2 left, thankfully white, because I didn't like the Grey, just too close to black for me. This phone is so fast!
