I'm so glad LG doesn't have physical buttons. Haha.
Same here, I would really hate this phone if it had physical buttons. This ain't 2009.

I was surprised there was no deal offered at vzw this weekend. Do these things ever go on sale? Free headphones wasn't a selling point for me and now they're even gone.
There was a deal, I went there myself to surprise my dad with a new phone by trading in the droid turbo 2 for the moto z force droid. The LG V20 is $200 for 24 months if you trade in an eligible smartphone for it.

I just got mine a couoke of days ago. For me the looks kill it. I love the design of the phone myself. Feels great too. So far the phone flies. Battery life has been so so. But overall the phone has been awesome.I'm actually using the V20 more than my older S6 edge plus. The v20 dose not have the looks but it kills the edge plus everywhere else
Gotta say. I came from a Galaxy S5. First week impressions have been good. The only glitch I had was couldn't use internet when on phone. But I found the work around to fix it. Great phone so far IMO.
So, I'm having an existential crisis with my Note 4. Everyone's happy here? Because I really have no confidence the Note 8 will resume with removable batteries and it may be 9 months away, too.
How's Nougat?
Tadpole said she was VERY VERY VERY happy with the V20. On the third 'VERY' I decided to get one![]()
Yes, it is usually the third "very" that seals the deal.Well, I bought it. I am a little shaken at leaving the Samsung eco system, but from everything I see, this is a great phone that is more likely to do what I want than the Note 8.
Yes, I am very happy. I was thinking like you about waiting for the S8 or Note 8. The wide angle is very important to me. Samsung is rumoured to have a dual camera. IMO it will be tele rather than wide angle because the majority prefers tele to wide. Also Samsung camera delivers too saturated photos. V20's are more natural.
Also I don't like the curved edge. 5.7 inches flat display is very nice.
Don't know if it is due to Nougat, but the V20 is very smooth. No lag at all.
I was quite concerned about the V20 camera in auto mode. I find it very good, much better than what is shown in most reviews. Keep HDR on in auto mode and I think it is better than the Pixel.
With some practice, the camera in manual mode is very easy to use. In low light, auto mode will automatically shoot at iso 800. With manual mode you can shoot at iso 200 & still get noise free images if you have steady hands.

Finally the V20 arrived in my country on December 01 but was sold off 2 weeks after. Got one from the second batch at a promotional price with 200 GB SD card as gift.
Coming from Samsung also, the V20 has not been love at first sight for me. It is rather something that develops with the understanding & use of the camera
